Vigil held to remember 21-year-old’s life

A Vigil was held in remembrance of a man who was shot in Durham. It’s been eight months from his death, his family held a vigil in his remembrance. 21–year-old Edward was shot to death at Red Roof Inn in February.

Edward’s mom said that this Vigil is also part of the healing process, letting go the tragedy and holding on to her son’s memory. Alexis Joyner, 19, was tracked down after a chase by U.S Marshals regarding this case in March.

Alexis is charged with first-degree murder, but the family said that more people were involved in this murder. They also said that they will be at peace when they know they got absolute justice.

Edward mom said that all the people who are out there killing are not only hurting mothers but also other people around them.
