India witnessed a single day rise of 253 new cases of coronavirus and the active cases in the nation came down to 4597 as per the reports from the Union Health Ministry. The total death cases reported in India till date are said to be 5,30,627 after three new deaths are reported. Two deaths are reported in Kerala and one death was reported in Himachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours. The active cases comprises of 0.01 percent of the total reported infections. The total number of coronavirus cases reported in India in total are said to be 4,46,73,166. The recovery rate saw a huge rise and it is 98.80 percent as per the Health Ministry. 75 cases have been decreased when compared to the new cases in the previous day told the reports.

The number of people who recovered completely from coronavirus in India in total are said to be 4,41,37,942. The fatality rate is said to be 1.19 percent. As per the reports from the Health Ministry, 219.93 crore doses of the coronavirus vaccines have been administered in the country so far under the Covid-19 vaccination drive in India. The World Health Organization (WHO) announced that 90 percent of the population across the globe has now resistance for Covid-19 but the organization warned about the new variants that would emerge and will trouble the people. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO director-general told that the new variant will emerge and will overtake the Omicron variant which is the most dominating one.
