Hyundai Motor India has introduced the 2026 i20 in India, starting at a price of Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom). By refreshing its position in the premium hatchback category, the vehicle has now become somewhat easier on the budget for first-time buyers. The new pricing comes without any changes to the features or mechanics of the car. The base model, Hyundai i20 Era, is now available for Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom), showing the revised range. Despite being the most budget-friendly option, it includes features such as six airbags as standard, a digital instrument display, skid plates on both the front and rear, body-colored side mirrors and door handles, Type-C USB charging ports, and adjustable steering.
As we move up in the lineup, the i20 Magna Executive is priced at Rs 6.74 lakh, while the Magna version costs Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). These prices have changed from their previous rates of Rs 6.87 lakh and Rs 7.12 lakh, respectively. In addition to the price reduction, the Magna Executive model now offers features like a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), automatic headlights, keyless entry, power-adjustable side mirrors, controls for audio and Bluetooth on the steering, a shark fin antenna, and adjustable steering, making it an attractive choice in its class. The Magna version enhances this with added comfort features such as an electric sunroof, LED daytime running lights (DRLs), rear air conditioning vents, and a front armrest with storage, targeting buyers looking for a more premium interior experience. The Hyundai i20 continues to be powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol engine, which generates 88 hp and 114 Nm of peak torque. This engine can be paired with either a manual transmission or an iVT. Overall, the car competes with models such as the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Tata Altroz in the Indian market. Notably, the Altroz received a facelift in May 2025.
