Palash Muchhal, the fiancé of Smriti Mandhana, has been released from the hospital in Mumbai where he was treated. He was admitted to SRV Hospital in Goregaon, Mumbai, for three days due to experiencing chest pain and trouble breathing. The hospital has now stated that he has been discharged after his treatment. His admission occurred at a delicate time since the wedding of Palash and cricketer Smriti Mandhana was postponed indefinitely after her father showed signs of having a heart attack. Initially, Palash was taken to a hospital in Sangli, Maharashtra, before he was moved to the Mumbai facility. During this time, he was reported to be under a lot of emotional pressure, which affected his health. His discharge provides some relief, but the families have not shared any new plans regarding the wedding date.

On the morning of November 23, only a few hours before the wedding was set to happen, it was reported that Shrinivas Mandhana, Smriti Mandhana's father, had fallen ill. Her manager, Tuhin Mishra, spoke to the press and explained that Shrinivas felt unwell earlier that day, and his health quickly declined. To ensure his well-being, the family made the decision to take him to the hospital. Tuhin stated, "Then we decided to avoid any risks. So, we called for an ambulance and moved him to the hospital. He is currently being monitored. Since Smriti is very close to her father, she has chosen to postpone the wedding indefinitely until her father's health improves." Following the announcement of the postponement, it was reported that Palash Muchhal's family had returned to Mumbai from Sangli, where the wedding was supposed to take place. This led to increased speculation about the real reason for the sudden change in plans. However, Palash's mother denied these rumors, explaining that Palash himself became ill shortly after Smriti's father went to the hospital, requiring the family to bring him back to Mumbai for treatment.

She mentioned that Palash has a very close relationship with Shrinivas Mandhana, and the pressure from the situation became too much for him. She said, "He was so upset that his health suddenly worsened. They kept him in the hospital for four hours. He received an IV drip, an ECG was performed, and other examinations were done. Everything turned out fine, but he is dealing with a lot of stress." Palash's sister, singer Palak Muchhal, went to see him at the hospital and later asked the media to honor the families' privacy. In a message on Instagram, she wrote, "Because of Smriti's father's health issues, the wedding between Smriti and Palash has been postponed. We kindly ask everyone to respect the privacy of the families during this difficult time." In the midst of this uncertainty, Smriti Mandhana deleted all images and videos from the pre-wedding events on her social media, keeping only her older posts with Palash.

According to a report, Shrinivas Mandhana was discharged from Sarvhit Hospital on the morning of November 25. He had been admitted on November 23 after experiencing heart attack-like symptoms. Palash and Smriti were originally scheduled to marry on the same day. Shrinivas was treated at a hospital in Sangli, Smriti's hometown, where doctors monitored him following the sudden health episode.
