The health of US President Donald Trump has been closely monitored lately, despite his claims that he is in perfect health and has successfully completed several cognitive tests. A report from New York Magazine mentions that the nearly eighty-year-old leader is now contemplating how he will be remembered. A senior official at the White House said that the ballroom currently being constructed there "is about leaving a legacy. " The White House has presented him as "The Superhuman President," suggesting he has more energy and stamina than an average person. Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller stated, "He can work harder, has a better memory, and possesses more energy than a typical human. " The New York Magazine article noted that Trump has stopped coloring his hair blonde and is allowing it to go gray naturally, but that isn’t the main concern. A senior staff member informed the publication that Trump’s hearing has declined.

When asked about his father's health, the Republican leader struggled to recall the term "Alzheimer's." He asked, "At a certain age, around 86 or 87, he started getting, what do they call it? " while gesturing to his forehead and looking at White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. Trump’s son Eric mentioned that Trump is superstitious and avoids thinking about death, preferring to focus on the present rather than the future. He added, "Is it on everyone’s mind? Sure. But he believes, as do I, that he has many years ahead. " Meanwhile, some online commentators have predicted that he only has a few months left to live, following several recent revelations and observed physical signs. In late 2025, Trump initially told reporters that he had a "perfect" MRI but later confessed he was unsure about which part of his body had been scanned. His doctor later clarified that it was actually a CT scan of his chest and abdomen, not an MRI.

The White House has attributed the frequent bruises on the back of his hands to "frequent handshaking" and his regular use of high doses of aspirin. He also has a condition that affects the veins in his legs, making it hard for them to send blood back to the heart, which results in swollen ankles. He has mentioned taking 325 mg of aspirin every day, which is more than the usual 81 mg recommended for heart health, even though his doctors advised him to decrease the amount. Trump has also refuted claims that he falls asleep during Cabinet meetings, saying he is merely "resting his eyes" or that cameras catch him "blinking. " Trump will celebrate his 80th birthday on June 14.
