Analysis

Dear Zindagi Movie Review

The first half of Dear Zindagi rarely has something to express and it looks completely clitched. The screenplay has been hammered enough that it makes no difference. The entire first half has been wasted without revealing anything to the audience. Some of the episodes impress the audience but they make no impact on the whole. The visuals have been fresh and the interval episodes looked simple. On the whole the first half of Dear Zindagi is a disappointment.

The second half of Dear Zindagi has been decent however it tests the patience of the audience. Some of the episodes have been dragged without any need. Once again the songs looked decent and the cinematography is the major highlight of the film. With many unusual episodes, Dear Zindagi looks slammed on the whole and the second half has been better but it too falls short of the expectations.

Performance

Alia Bhatt has been extremely stupendous in the role of Kyra and her energetic performance is the major highlight of the film. She performed the assigned role with utmost ease and her performance is the major relief for the audience. Shah Rukh Khan looks super cool in the new role and he kept the audience completely engaging. Kunal Kapoor, Angad Bedi and Ali Zafar have been decent.

The story of Dear Zindagi has nothing new to reveal. The screenplay and dialogues lacked interest. The music and the background score have been apt and the cinematography is the major highlight of the film. The production values looked lavish and they have been decent. Gauri Shinde fails to make a huge impact with her directorial abilities after an impressive film like English Vinglish.

Final Word

Alia Bhatt and SRK take Dear Zindagi to the next level however the film dips down completely without making much impact.
