OnePlus stated on Monday that they will host a live keynote event to introduce the OnePlus 15R and OnePlus Pad Go 2. These new products are set to be officially revealed in India and other global locations on December 17. According to the company, the keynote will be attended by thousands of members from the OnePlus Community in India. OnePlus has also shared various details about the specifications of the OnePlus 15R and OnePlus Pad Go 2. The launch will occur live in Bengaluru, India, on December 17, as mentioned in a press release. This live event will include many OnePlus Community members and celebrate the brand's 12th anniversary.
The event will be streamed live on the company's YouTube channel and social media platforms. It is said to signal a return to live keynote presentations for OnePlus. Additionally, the company announced various specifications for the upcoming OnePlus 15R and OnePlus Pad Go 2.
The OnePlus 15R is confirmed to have a 1.5K AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 165Hz, mirroring what is found in the top-tier OnePlus 15. The brand claims it will feature a pixel density of 450PPI and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. OnePlus mentions that the display can adjust from a brightness of 2 nits up to 1,800 nits. This new phone will include the brand's own Detailmax Engine for better photography. It will also carry three advanced features from the OnePlus 15—Ultra Clear Mode, Clear Burst, and the Clear Night Engine. For its performance, the OnePlus 15R will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC. This device is said to be the first to use this processor and has been optimized alongside Qualcomm. The phone will also come equipped with the latest G2 Wi-Fi chip and Touch Response Chip. Meanwhile, the OnePlus Pad Go 2 is expected to be launched as the newest mid-range tablet from the brand. It is rumored to have a 12.1-inch display with a resolution of 2.8K, a pixel density of 284PPI, peak brightness of 900 nits, and coverage of 98 percent DCI-P3 color range. It will support Dolby Vision and hold TUV Rheinland Smart Care 4.0 certification.
According to the brand, the OnePlus Pad Go 2 will also incorporate the self-developed Open Canvas software for efficient multitasking on a larger screen. This software provides easy touch controls, letting users enable split-screen mode and switch between different windows smoothly.
