According to the reports the police officers in Burlington have arrested a 22-year-old suspect accused of shooting and injuring a woman inside an apartment in the presence of two children.

Victor Foust was charged for attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with the intent to kill

Police officers responded soon after they received a report at 10:40 a.m. on Saturday (4th February) at an apartment in the 600 block of Center Avenue.

Burlington police said in a press release when police officers Arrived to the place of the incident, they found the victim inside the apartment wounded with a gunshot to her torso.

According to the police shooting was a domestic related incident and occurred after the suspect and victim had an altercation inside the apartment.

Police said the two children, aged 4 and 6, and were inside the apartment at the time of the shooting.

Foust was taken to the Alamance County Detention Center and is being held without bond.
