
Maria is downgraded as Tropical Storm on Tuesday. Maria is now moving close towards North Carolina, this storm is expected to pass at least 150 miles offshore.
The National Hurricane Centre said that Maria is now slowly moving northwards. The storm warning is passed from Ocracoke Inlet to Cape Hatteras. Maria is moving with sustained winds of 70mph.
According to official estimates, as Maria moves closer more than 10,000 people are evacuated from outer banks. Schools were closed on Tuesday due to these storm conditions.
This storm is now located at 210 miles southeast of Cape Hatteras. A tropical storm warning is in effect from Bogue Inlet to Virginia border.
