British MP who Criticized on Article 370 Denied Entry into India, deported to Dubai

Debbie Abrahams who is a British MP was stopped at the Delhi airport on Monday, as reported by the Press Trust of India.

The British MP was critical on the decision that has been made by the government of India regarding the Kashmir issue under Article 370. she was stopped at the Delhi airport and was deported to Dubai with the officials informing her that her e- visa had been rejected.

Debbie Abrahams who is the chairperson of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Kashmir in Britain has said in a statement that she had been treated as a criminal.

According to the sources of the government of India, Debbie Abrahams did not have a valid visa in order to pay a visit to India. It has been said by the British High Commission that they are in touch with the authorities of India in order to understand the reason for the denial of the entry to India.

Debbie Abrahams has said that she had landed at around 8:50 in the morning and has been informed by the officials at the Delhi airport that her e- visa which has been issued during the last October and which said to be valid until the month of October of the year 2020 had been rejected.

She described the situation saying that she had presented herself at the at the immigration desk with her documents which included the e- visa and her photograph that has been taken.

Along with everyone else, I presented myself at the immigration desk with my documents including my e-visa, had my photograph taken and then the official looked at his screen and started shaking his head. "Then he told me my visa was rejected, took my passport and disappeared for about 10 minutes. When he came back he was very rude and aggressive, shouting at me to 'come with me' ", as said by the British MP in a statement.

She added saying that she had made a call to her relative who then got in touch with the British High Commission in order to find what was going on.

Ms Debbie Abrahams has posted a letter on her twitter page where she had apparently written on the 5th of August during last year which was the day when the government of India has ended the special status to the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir under the Article 370and the enforcement of severe restrictions have also been made in order to avoid any violent protests.

The British MP Debbie Abrahams has said as the chair of a group on Kashmir, she had written to the Indian envoy in the United Kingdom where in she had expressed her grave concerns on the decision that has been taken by the government of India under the Article 370.
