UAE Joins Four-Day Work Week

After seeing the development of productivity in 4 days workweek, countries all fall for the same work plan. Lately, The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced a four-day workweek for federal government employees, which will start in July. UAE has identified four different work models by human resources law, that is Full time, Part-time, Temporary and flexible. But the working hours going to be 40 hours per week, that is 10 hours a day. The employees are set to select their working hour's flexibility. With this, the employees will have a three-day weekend.

Seven countries adopted the plan, the first one to go with the plan is the Netherlands, which has 29 hours per week, this is the country with the shortest work time, Secondly, it is Denmark with 33 work hours per week, then Belgium introduced this in 2022 with 40 hours work time, then Australia has implemented a pilot program on 20 companies with 38 hours maximum, Japan has recommended the same 4 day work week plan to prevent the culture Karoshi(death by overwork), Spain invested 50 million euros for this four-day workweek plan in 200 companies and running a trail program and UK has introduced this with 70 business and over 3300 employees were included with 48 hours workweek, UK has the highest work time.
