India's youngest millionaire in probability could be Ekagrah Rohan Murty, the four-month-old grandson of Infosys founder NR Narayana Murthy. In a recent exchange filing, it was disclosed that Ekagrah now holds 0.04 percent stake, equivalent to 15,00,000 shares, in Infosys. This generous gift from his grandfather resulted in a slight reduction in Murthy's own share in the company, from 0.40 percent to 0.36 percent. The transaction took place "off-market."

Ekagrah's arrival in November made NR Narayana Murthy and Sudha Murty proud grandparents. Rohan Murty and Aparna Krishnan, the baby's parents, welcomed their son into the world. Ekagrah is the third grandchild of the Murthys, who already have two granddaughters from their daughter Akshata Murty. The name Ekagrah, derived from Sanskrit, signifies unwavering focus and determination. The family drew inspiration from Arjuna's "ekagrah" in the Mahabharata.

The remarkable journey of Infosys began in 1981 with a mere $250. Today, it stands as one of India's most esteemed companies, having revolutionized corporate governance and democratized wealth creation. Sudha Murty played a pivotal role in bootstrapping Infosys with that initial investment. After dedicating over 25 years to leading the Infosys Foundation, Murty retired from her position in December 2021. However, she continues her philanthropic efforts through her family's foundation.
