The Vivo X Fold 6 is set to be released in China this month as the next version of the X Fold 5. Although the manufacturer has only shared a few details about the new foldable device, a recent leak has highlighted one of its key features. A video that appeared on a social media site shows the Vivo X Fold 6 using a new multitasking system called Atomic Bench. This system is reportedly made for foldable devices, including features like multi-window options and control through gestures. According to a video shared by a user on Weibo named V Powder Intelligence Bureau, the Vivo X Fold 6 will have a new multitasking feature called Atomic Workbench, which was hinted at by the brand. This feature is expected to be included in OriginOS 6 Fold, Vivo's new user interface designed for foldable devices.

The leaked video suggests that Atomic Workbench may offer various multitasking modes aimed at boosting productivity. One of the modes shown in the video is a serial mode, which supposedly lets users run as many as five apps at the same time. The interface seems to smartly allocate more screen area to the active app while keeping other applications available in the background, focusing on more frequently used windows. The video also displayed a one-screen four-use mode. True to its name, this feature allows users to work with four different apps on the main display at the same time. Users will likely have the option to resize and position each application according to their liking. The final multitasking option is a parallel mode, which, as seen in the video, lets users run several apps independently without interfering with one another's operations. Additionally, the leaked footage pointed out several controls based on gestures. In the one-screen four-use mode, users can reportedly drag a marker in the corner to control how much of the screen each app uses. A four-finger gesture was also shown to quickly enlarge a chosen window.

Vivo has confirmed that the X Fold 6 will debut in June. While the company has not disclosed its technical specifications yet, rumors suggest it may be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip. For photography, there could be a primary rear camera with a resolution of 200 megapixels and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. The company has also hinted at putting significant emphasis on features focused on productivity and artificial intelligence capabilities. Additional details about the Vivo X Fold 6 are expected to come out as its official launch approaches later this month.
