Realme 16 5G was introduced in Vietnam, and it may soon be available in additional markets. This new smartphone from Realme comes in two color choices and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo processor. It features a 6.57-inch AMOLED screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and offers up to 12GB of RAM along with 256GB of storage. The Realme 16 5G is equipped with a 7,000mAh battery and supports wired charging. It also has ratings of IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K for dust and water resistance. The pricing for the Realme 16 5G begins at VND 11,490,000 (approximately Rs. 40,000) for the 8GB + 256GB version, and the 12GB + 256GB model is priced at VND 12,490,000 (around Rs. 44,000). It is available in Black Cloud and White Swan colors. Currently, there is no information from Realme regarding the launch of the Realme 16 5G in India or other regions.
The Realme 16 5G runs on Android 16 and features Realme UI 7.0. It sports a 6.57-inch Full HD+ flexible AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,080x2,372 pixels, a 93 percent screen-to-body ratio, a pixel density of 397ppi, and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The display has a touch sampling rate of up to 240Hz and claims to offer peak brightness of 4,200 nits. It is protected by DT Star D+ glass. Inside, the Realme 16 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo processor paired with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, offering up to 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. For photography, it features a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens that has autofocus and a 2-megapixel monochrome lens. The front camera is also 50 megapixels. The camera supports various shooting modes, including Night, Portrait, Cinematic, Slow Motion, and Dual-View Video, among others.
For connectivity, the Realme 16 5G includes options like Bluetooth 5.3, 5G, 4G LTE, BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, a USB Type-C port, and Wi-Fi 6. It offers facial recognition and an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Included sensors are a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, color temperature sensor, e-compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, Hall sensor, laser autofocus sensor, spectrophotometer, and infrared control. The device holds a 7,000mAh battery that supports 60W wired fast charging as well as reverse charging. Its dimensions are 158.30 x 75.13 x 8.10mm, and it weighs about 183 grams. It also features IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings.
